They areavailable in stand-alone Ethernet (FLC810E) andPCMCIA card (FLC800C) models.FastLinc modems have a rated range of 5 mileswith unobstructed line-of-sight, farther usingrepeaters and/or higher gain antennas. With anoutput power much higher than commercial IEEE802.11b products, they provide longer outdoorrange and broader indoor coverage.The FLC810E includes wireless bridge mode forlinking remote plant networks, access point modefor creating wireless hotspots within industrialplants and wireless connections between PLCs,HMIs, and Ethernet I/O systems. It can beconfigured as a wireless bridge repeater toextend range and overcome line-of-sight (LOS)obstructions.
