SPECIAL NOTES IMPORTANT: READ WARNINGS BELOW This bed is for residential use only. This bed is NOT for hospital use and was not designed to meet hospital standards. Please adhere to the following safety warnings: •  DO NOT use this bed outdoors. •  DO NOT use near explosive gases. •  Possible fire hazard when used with oxygen administering equipment other than nasal masked type. •  When using nasal or masked type administering equipment, oxygen or air tubing MUST be routed and secured property to ensure that tubing does NOT become entangled and damaged during normal operation of the bed. •  When using liquids in or around the bed, caution should be taken to ensure that liquids of any kind are not spilled. If a liquid is spilled in or around the bed stand in a dry, clean area and UNPLUG the bed immediately. Clean up spill and allow bed and area around bed to dry thoroughly before using the electric controls again. •  Do not EAT or DRINK hot liquids while operating the bed. •  DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN OR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TO OPERATE THE BED WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION. •  DO NOT LET CHILDREN ON OR NEAR THE BED UNATTENDED. •  NEVER PERMIT ANYONE OR PETS UNDER THE BED AT ANY TIME. •  When operating beds, ALWAYS ensure that the individual utilizing the bed is positioned properly within the confines of the bed. Do not let any extremities protrude over the side of the bed when performing these functions. •  This product is not a medical product and is not intended for medical purposes. It is for in-homeuse only.
WARNING REGARDING HAND CONTROLS REMOVE HAND CONTROLS WHEN NOT IN USE AND STORE OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Such m odifications could vo id the user’s authority to operate the equipm ent.OPERATING INFORMATION • After adjustable base has been assembled, always test to make sure that all sections of the bed are properly and securely in place before using. • KEEP ALL MOVING PARTS FREE OF ANY OBSTRUCTION DURING OPERATION OF ADJUSTABLE BASE (for example; blankets/sheets, clothing, heating blankets/pads, tubing, and wiring, etc. and other types of products using electric cords, which  may get tangled around the bed or legs). • Body weight MUST be evenly distributed over the surface of the bed. DO NOT lay, sit, or lean in such a way that entire body weight is placed only on RAISED head or foot sections of bed.  This includes when assisting in repositioning or transferring in or out of bed. WEIGHT LIMITATION WARNING - Do not use this bed if weight limitation is exceeded. The weight limitations for adjustable beds (while taking into consideration user’s size, proper positioning, realignment, transfer, and overall care) are: Twin Size – 350 pounds*; Full and Queen Size – 450 pounds*. *Determined with weight distributed evenly over the entire bed surface. ELECTRICAL – GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS: A. This product  MUST be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape wire for the electrical current. This product is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug.  The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is property installed and grounded.DO NOT bypass the grounding plug. B. FOR 115 VAC CIRCUITS ONLY:  Products ordered for use on a 115 VAC circuit must have a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in Figure A, shown at the bottom of this page. A temporary adapter, which looks likethe adapter illustrated in Figures B and C, may be used to connect this plug to a 2-pole outlet as shown in Sketch C if a properly grounded outlet is not available. The temporary adapter should be used only until a qualified electrician can install a properly grounded outlet (see Figure D). The rigid ear, extending from the adapter MUST be connected to apermanent ground such as properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is used, it MUST be held in place by the screw. C. FOR 220 VAC CIRCUITS ONLY:  Products ordered for use on a 220 VAC must have a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in Figure E, shown at the bottom of this page. This plug is a European type CEE 7/7 and must be grounded in accordance with local electrical codes. A temporary adapter may be used until a qualified electrician can install a properly grounded plug as long as the above grounding requirements are met. NEVER operate if the unit has a damaged cord or plug.  If it is not working properly, call a Qualified Service Personnel for examination and repair. Keep all cords away from HEATED or HOT surfaces such as space heaters or heating ducts.
USING TWO (2) TWIN BEDS AS A KING SIZE BED When put together to form a king size bed, a gap will exist between the two (2) twin beds. After bed have been assembled, confirm the area between the two (2) twin beds is clear. Otherwise, individuals may become entangled between the two (2) twin beds, possibly causing injury and/or damage. APPROVED BED FRAMES The unique design of the  InterFlex  adjustable bed enables the adjustable foundation to be used in conjunction withcertain standard bed frames. The InterFlex adjustable weighs more than a traditional mattress and box spring; thus, only certain bed frames will work to support the weight of the product. The manufacturer cautions against use of any unapproved bed frames along with the Lifestyle adjustable bed. The following bed frames are approved: Bed Frame Used without a Headboard/Footboard (see Figure 3) Knickerbocker Bed Frame: Style #xxx-xxxxxBed Frame Used with a Headboard/Footboard – Frames with Center Support (see Figure 4) Knickerbocker Bed Frame: Style #xxx-xxxxxMantuaLeggett & Platt Use of an unapproved Bed Frame or Bed Bridge with the InterFlex adjustable bed will void the product warranty for the InterFlex adjustable bed and is likely to significantly increase the risk of damage to the adjustable bed, damage to the bed frame and damage to other property and is likely to significantly increase the risk of personal injury. IN ADDITION TOANY OTHER DISCLAIMERS WITH RESPECT TO THE INTERFLEX ADJUSTABLE BED, THEMANUFACTURER HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR, AND SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY OR OBLIGATION TO THE END USER WITH RESPECT TO ANY ABUSE, IMPROPER USE, ACCIDENT, OR MODIFICATION OF THE INTERFLEX ADJUSTABLE BED, FOR ANY FAILURE OF THEEND USER TO FOLLOW THE OPERATING OR MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES OUTLINED HEREIN, FOR ANY IMPROPER PLACEMENT OR INSTALLATION OF THE INTERFLEX ADJUSTABLE BED ON ANAPPROVED BED FRAME OR FOR ANY USE OF THE INTERFLEX ADJUSTABLE BED TOGETHER WITH AN UNAPPROVED BED FRAME. THE MANUFACTURER FURTHER DISCLAIMS ANY RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY DEFECTS IN THE MANUFACTURING, DESIGN, OR WORKMANSHIP OF ANY BED FRAME, WHETHER APPROVED OR UNAPPROVED, AND THE END USER SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT THE END USER MUST LOOK TO THE SELLER AND/OR MANUFACTURER OF THE BED FRAMEFOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM ANY FAILURE OF OR DEFECT IN ANY BED FRAME, WHETHER APPROVED OR UNAPPROVED.Figure 3.
InterFlex Adjustable BASENote: It is required that two (2) people unpack the bed. 1. Place carton on the floor with arrows pointing towards the floor.  Carefully cut banding with scissors or knife and remove lid. 2. Base should be in the box with the frame pointing upwards. Gold & Silver models are shipped with legs and casters(casters are installed in the legs) - locate the leg & caster assembly in the customer instruction manual bag and screw into the frame rivet nuts (4 outer) making sure the legs are securely tightened.3. Titanium model (Silver & Gold models) Frame adaptors installation (figure 2) adjust the adaptors by loosing the 4 bolts and slide the adaptors to the correct width- re-tighten the bolts securely.4. Place Base onto metal frame*. It is required that two (2) people remove the bed from the carton and set on the metal frame. Suggestion:  Raise carton on side, tip slightly, and gently lay bed down on metal frame. 5. Remove protective plastic covering from adjustable base and mattress. 6. Install the mattress bar at the foot section of the bed using the provided two (4) bolts, found at the base of the bed.7. Place mattress on baseand enjoy! CAUTION:  BANDING IS UNDER TENSION. NOTE:  Plastic must be removed from both adjustable base and mattress to ensure proper ventilation and avoid possibility of mildew and odor.  Dispose of plastic covering properly to avoid injury. The InterFlex Adjustable Base has been designed to allow two (2) Split King or Split Cal-King bases towork in conjunction with a one-piece King Mattress as well as a one-piece Cal-King mattress. In order for your bases to work simultaneously with one (1) Hand Control the beds must be set up prior to operation via the electronics.Assembling one piece king (2- twin extra long bases to work simultaneously)1. When configuring 2 twin extra long base together to work simultaneously follow the above unpacking instructions.2. Disconnect one hand control that will not be used by un-attaching the telephone type cable at the rear of the remote control.3. Locate the other end of the cable at the electronic control box port and unattach, move in the port labeled “secondary” the other end should be installed into the other base electronic box in the secondary port as well.4.Plug both bases into a power source and push the head up button, both bases should operate simultaneously.

Your new adjustable power base is setup from the factory to be wire less- no additional setup is required , if you desire your base to operate as a wired remote or more than one wire less unit read below.2. If wired is desired prior to applying power, plug the telephone cable into the bottom of the remote making sure TO REMOVE the 2-AA supplied batteries and plug the power cord into a surge protected AC outlet. Push any button on the remote- waiting 30 seconds for the computer to discover the wired remote.P1 P2   P3
Wire less Remote Channel Setup:1. Operating more than one adjustable power base in close proximity of each other  will require you to perform a channel setup function.2. Remove the batteries from each hand control and disconnect the AC power.3. Plug one base into a surge protected AC power supply.4. Re-install the supplied “AA” batteries.5. Hold both the “head up” and “foot up” buttons simultaneously until the LCD displays all eights (see figure 1 below) and release the buttons.Figure l.6. The LCD will display a “C” and search for a channel, after about 30 seconds a number will be displayed , push up or down on the foot massage button for the desired channel and push the “set” button on the hand control.7. Repeat the steps above for the additional base keeping in mind the selected channel should be a different number from the first base; you should have both base operating independent of each other, if you desire both bases to operate together please refer to pages 8, 10 of the owner’s manual.
Gold/Silver/Titanium Series 1-2-20 WarrantyFULL 1-YEAR WARRANTY                                          2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY               20-YEAR LIMITED FRAME WARRANTY ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONSInterFlex, LLC warrants this adjustable bed to the consumer who is the original purchaser (the “purchaser”), subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein. This warranty begins on the “warranty commencement date” which is the date of purchase for new unused beds and the date of manufacture for beds that have been used as floor or display models. This adjustable bed is warranted against defects in the workmanship or materials for a period of two years from the warranty commencement date. Upon notice during 1-year after the warranty commencement date, InterFlex, LLC  will repair or replace (at no cost to the purchaser) any defective adjustable bed part, and InterFlex, LLCwill pay all authorized labor and transportation costs associated with the repair or replacement of any parts found to be defective.After expiration of the full 1-year in home warranty from the warranty commencement date, upon receipt of notice, InterFlex, LLC will replace any adjustable bed part found to be defective. This limited two-year warranty shall not apply unless the defective part is returned to InterFlex, LLCwithin ten (10) days of purchaser’s receipt of the replacement part. Purchaser shall pay all service and transportation costs related to the replacement of the defective part inclusive of part(s) shipment cost.Upon receipt of notice during the first through the twentieth years from the warranty commencement date InterFlex, LLC will replace, upon terms and conditions set forth in this paragraph, any frame structural bed part found to be defective. Electronics, electrical components, drive motors and massage motors are excluded.This warranty does not apply; (a) to any damage caused by the purchaser; (b) if there has been any repair or replacement of adjustable bed parts by an unauthorized Person(s); (c) if the adjustable bed has been mishandled (whether in transit or by other means), subjected to physical or electrical abuse or misuse, or otherwise operated in any manner inconsistent with the operation and maintenance procedures outlined in the Owners Manual and this warranty; (d) to damage to mattresses, fabric, cables, electrical cords or items supplied by dealers. Contact the dealer for warranty information on these items; (e) if there has been any modification of the adjustable bed without prior written consent by InterFlex, LLC; (f) to costs for unnecessary service calls, including costs for in-home service calls solely for the purpose of educating the consumer about the adjustable bed or finding an unsatisfactory power connection.Repairs to or replacement of an adjustable bed or its components under the terms of this limited warranty will apply to the original warranty period and will not serve to extend such period. The decision to repair or to replace defective parts under this warranty shall be made, or cause to be made, by InterFlex, LLC at its option and its sole discretion. There shall be no liability on the part of eInterFlex, LLC for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages or for any other damage, claim, or loss not expressly covered by the terms of this warranty.
