Meridian International Co., Ltd. www.meridianintl.comH = 27dB, M = 21dB, L = 20dB, SNR = 26dBINTENDED USE: The Tactix earmu is designed to help reduce exposure to loud sounds and hazardous noise levels produced during activities such as using power tools, lawn mowers, leaf blowers and vacuums. For very loud sounds or higher noise levels Tactix recommends wearing earplugs in addition to the earmus for additional noise reduction. Hearing protection should be suitable for the application, worn for the duration of the noise exposure, tted correctly and replaced when necessary. FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:Improper tting of this hearing protection device will reduce its eectiveness. Fit your earmu correctly before any exposure to noise and replace if the earmu is damaged. Place the earmu on the head with the band at the crown (top) of the head. Pull the cups apart and place the earmu over your ears so that the ear cushions t snugly to form a seal. It is important that the cups fully enclose the ears and that the cushions exert equal pressure around the ears. Adjust the height of both cups for comfort while holding the headband in place.IMPORTANT:For a proper t, ear cushions should seal rmly against the head. Anything that interferes with the seal such as long hair, thick eyeglasses, pens or caps will lessen the earmu's eectiveness.Do not bend or reshape the headband, as this will impact the t and eect the noise reduction performance.Do not store the hearing protection device at temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius.CARE AND CLEANING:Sponge clean with warm, soapy water on the ear cushions only. Do not use solvents. Ensure the ear cushion is completely dry before use. Earmus must be regularly inspected for cracks or worn parts and replaced as needed.NOISE ATTENUATION (REDUCTION): Noise exposure over 80 decibels (dB) may cause permanent hearing loss, ensure the hearing protection device selected meets the needed noise attenuation of your environment. For Example: An environmental noise level of 90dB measured at the ear, with SNR 26dB protection device worn the level of noise entering the ear is approximately 64dB.The sound attenuation values for the hearing protection device are measured in accordance with EN24869-1.
