It also includes cautions and best practices to prevent damage to the VIO Wand product. Please ensure that you understand and follow all safety guidelines, instructions, and warnings before using your Oblong VIO System. For additional compliance information, please visit: www.oblong.com/compliance SAFETY INFORMATION AC Power Adapter ● Risk of electric shock, fire, or burn if using an AC adapter other than the one provided with this device. ● Do not use a damaged power supply or attempt to repair one that is damaged. ● Do not immerse the power supply in water or subject it to physical abuse. ● Inspect the power supply regularly for damage to its cable, plug, and casing. ● Connect only to a properly wired, isolated, and grounded outlet. ● Failure to use the included power adapter may violate regulatory compliance requirements and may expose user to safety hazards. Battery ● Wand device is powered by a lithium ion battery. ● There is a risk of explosion, fire, or chemical burns if a battery is replaced incorrectly or by an incorrect battery type. ● Do not use if battery has been mutilated, or exposed to conducting materials, liquid, fire, or heat (above 54° C or 130° F). ● When a battery is misused, it may explode or leak, causing burns and personal injury. ● If a battery leaks, use normal precaution and discard immediately.

Disposal of used or damaged batteries must be in accordance with local environmental regulations. ● Battery replacement must comply with with the guidelines in the Oblong VIO Wand User Guide www.oblong.com/viowand.pdf. Temperature ● System is intended to be used in office and indoor environments only. ●For use in ambient temperatures between 0° C and 35° C (32° F and 95° F). ● These devices radiate heat on external surfaces during normal operation, which is both normal and safe. ●Avoid using or storing next to heat sources, in direct sunlight, or outside the intended temperature ranges. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:   ● Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. ● Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. ● Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.  ● Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

  Version 2.0 - Created/updated for release 2/13/2017  International Certifications International Safety Standards This equipment is built in accordance with the requirements of the international safety standards IEC60950-1, EN60950-1, UL60950-1 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No.60950-1, which are the safety standards of information technology equipment including electrical business equipment. These safety standards impose important requirements on the use of safety critical components, materials and insulation, in order to protect the user or operator against risk of electric shock and energy hazard having access to live parts. Safety standards also impose limits to the internal and external temperature rises, radiation levels, mechanical stability and strength, enclosure construction and protection against the risk of fire.
