Battery Use & Safety
Warning!
Your product contains a battery which should only be removed by a SOL
REPUBLIC approved service center or recycler.
Do not try to remove or replace the battery yourself. Attempting to remove

Third Party Accessories
Using third party accessories, including but not limited to batteries, chargers,
headsets, covers, cases, screen protectors, and memory cards, may impact
your product’s performance. Using a non-SOL REPUBLIC battery or charger
may present a risk of fi re, explosion, leakage, or other hazard.
SOL REPUBLIC’s warranty does not cover damage to the product caused by
non-SOL REPUBLIC batteries and/or chargers.
Driving Precautions
Responsible and safe driving is your primary responsibility when driving

a vehicle. Making calls or using applications while driving may cause
distraction, and may be prohibited or restricted in certain areas—always obey
local laws and regulations for the use of mobile devices and accessories in
the vehicle.
While driving, ALWAYS:
• Keep your eyes on the road.
• Use a handsfree device if available or required by law in your area.
• Enter destination information into a navigation device before driving.
• Use voice activated features (such as voice dial) and speaking features
(such as audible directions), if available.
• Concentrate on driving, and stop using the mobile device if you can not
concentrate.
Pull over safely before using your mobile device to send messages, surf the
web, or use other applications.
Caution About High Volume Usage
Warning: Exposure to loud noise from any source for extended periods of time
may affect your hearing. The louder the volume sound level, the less time is
required before your hearing could be affected. To protect your hearing:
• Limit the amount of time you use headsets or headphones at high volume.
• Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
• Turn the volume down if you can not hear people speaking near you.
If you experience hearing discomfort, including the sensation of pressure or
fullness in your ears, ringing in your ears, or muffl ed speech, you should stop
listening to the device through your speaker, headset or headphones and
have your hearing checked.
Children
Keep your product and its accessories away from small children. These
products are not toys and may be hazardous to small children. For example, a

To care for your SOL REPUBLIC product, please observe the following:
• Liquids - do not expose your product to water, rain, extreme humidity,
sweat, or other liquids.
• Drying - do not try to dry your product using a microwave oven,
conventional oven, or dryer.
• Extreme heat or cold - avoid temperatures below -10°C (14°F) or above
45°C (113°F). For battery powered accessories, do not recharge your
accessory in temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F).
• Dust and dirt - do not expose your product to dust, dirt, sand, food, or
similar materials.
• Cleaning - to clean your product, use only a dry soft cloth. Do not use
alcohol or other cleaning solutions.
• Shock and vibration - do not drop your product or expose it to strong
vibration.
• Protection - to help protect your product, always make sure that all
connector and compartment covers are closed and secure, and avoid
carrying it with hard objects such as keys or coins.
Changes or modifi cations not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

SOL REPUBLIC has taken a focused approach to ensure that our products
are constructed of materials that have minimal negative impact on the
environment. We ensure that all of our products are safe to use as intended.
Many electronics products are manufactured with some materials that are
toxic. Some SOL REPUBLIC products can expose the user to substances that
are classi! ed on the Proposition 65 list of substances. Per the CA Prop 65
regulation the following warning statement is provided:

SOL REPUBLIC declares that this product is in compliance with the essential
requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC (R&TTE),
2002/95/EC (RoHS), and all other relevant EU Directives.

not contain any of the restricted substances in concentrations in excess of
the values permitted or because levels in excess of these concentrations
are permitted under exemptions listed in the Annex to the Directive.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Your SOL REPUBLIC product is covered by a worldwide limited warranty by
SOL REPUBLIC Inc, 9375 SW Commerce Circle, Suite 9A, Wilsonville, OR,
USA for defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period is two
years for SOL REPUBLIC products purchased in the European Union (36
months in Sweden), and one year for all other countries.
When you purchase SOL REPUBLIC products you may be entitled to
additional statutory rights. For example, consumer laws across the European

Union provide statutory rights in addition to the coverage you receive from
the SOL REPUBLIC Limited Warranty. The SOL REPUBLIC Limited Warranty
does not affect your statutory rights. To acquire a printable version of your

The warranty period starts from the date of purchase of new or refurbished
products purchased from SOL REPUBLIC or an authorized SOL REPUBLIC
dealer by the • rst end-user. A defect caused by a materials or workmanship
error, SOL REPUBLIC or its dealers will repair the product using new or
refurbished replacement parts at no charge for labor or materials, or replace
the product with a functionally equivalent product that is new or refurbished,
or at the discretion of SOL REPUBLIC, refund the original purchase price. It is
recommended the purchaser retain proof of purchase in the form of a receipt
or bill of sale with the date of purchase and name of model purchased.
Restrictions
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
• minor faults or deviations in quality of the product which are insigni• cant
to the value of the product when used as described in the user guide;
• cosmetic damage, acts of God, misuse, improper connection, improper
use;
• products purchased open box, sold as-is, by private party resale or any
other third party purchases from unauthorized distributors; or
• Normal wear and other causes that are not defects in materials and
workmanship.
Attempted repair by unauthorized repair personnel will void this Limited
Warranty. Transfer of SOL REPUBLIC products through unauthorized
distributors renders this Limited Warranty null and void. This Limited
Warranty is also null and void if the product is damaged by a connecting
product that may have caused damage through misuse or malfunction or if
the factory model name or serial number has been altered.
If you would like to make a claim under this Limited Warranty you have the
following options:
• Please visit www.solrepublic.com/support and complete the Warranty
Form for limited warranty support. The form will require your name,
mailing address, email address, phone contact, description of the defect or
problem, a scanned copy of your receipt or invoice, and if possible, include

a picture of the fault. We will validate your request and respond with how

Subject to the following terms, Convoy International Pty Limited (‘Convoy’)
will repair or replace any part of any eligible Convoy product that is defective
within the warranty period indicated in below or refund you the cost of
the replacement. The bene! ts to a consumer given by this warranty are in
addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation

to the goods or services to which the warranty relates.
Eligibility
1. To claim the bene• t of this warranty you must;
(a) be the original purchaser of a genuine Convoy product from a Convoy
Authorized Re-Seller within Australia (this warranty is not transferable)
(b) produce proof of your purchase; and
(c) provide the details required in the ‘How to Claim’ section below.
2. This warranty applies only to products imported and distributed by Convoy
and sold to you within Australia after 1 January 2012.
3. This warranty is limited to defects that arise;
(a) In the course of normal domestic installation and use and
(b) within the warranty period identi• ed for the product in below,
commencing on the date of original purchase.
4. This warranty excludes
(a) defects arising from misuse, accident, neglect or improper care,
• uctuation in electrical current, incorrect or failed software upgrade,
damage or malfunction from incorrect assembly or installation, defects
from alteration or modi• cation, unauthorized service or repair;
(b) appearance items such as cabinetry marks or damage;
(c) products on which the serial number has been defaced or removed; and
(d) claims made later than 21 days after the defect • rst appears.
5. Convoy may elect between repair, replacement or refund to honour this
warranty, at its sole discretion.
6. In making a claim under this warranty, you agree that If, following receipt
of your claim under this warranty, Convoy or its authorized service centre
determine that your claim in respect of a product is invalid or you have
provided false, inaccurate or misleading information with your claim, Convoy
or its authorized service centre may charge you for any labour, parts or
transport costs incurred.
How to Claim:

Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a
major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss

Battery Charging
During charging, keep your product and charger near room temperature for
ef• cient battery charging.
New batteries are not fully charged.
New batteries or batteries stored for a long time may take more time to
charge.
SOL REPUBLIC batteries and charging systems have circuitry that protects the
battery from damage from overcharging.
Third Party Accessories
Using third party accessories, including but not limited to batteries, chargers,
headsets, covers, cases, screen protectors, and memory cards, may impact
your product’s performance. Using a non-SOL REPUBLIC battery or charger
may present a risk of • re, explosion, leakage, or other hazard.
SOL REPUBLIC’s warranty does not cover damage to the product caused by
non-SOL REPUBLIC batteries and/or chargers.
Driving Precautions
Responsible and safe driving is your primary responsibility when driving a vehicle.
Making calls or using applications while driving may cause distraction, and
may be prohibited or restricted in certain areas—always obey local laws and
regulations for the use of mobile devices and accessories in the vehicle.
While driving, ALWAYS:
• Keep your eyes on the road.
• Use a handsfree device if available or required by law in your area.
• Enter destination information into a navigation device before driving.
• Use voice activated features (such as voice dial) and speaking features (such
as audible directions), if available.
• Concentrate on driving, and stop using the mobile device if you can not
concentrate.
Pull over safely before using your mobile device to send messages, surf the web,
or use other applications.
Caution About High Volume Usage
Warning: Exposure to loud noise from any source for extended periods of time
may affect your hearing. The louder the volume sound level, the less time is
required before your hearing could be affected. To protect your hearing:
• Limit the amount of time you use headsets or headphones at high volume.
• Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
• Turn the volume down if you can not hear people speaking near you.
If you experience hearing discomfort, including the sensation of pressure or
fullness in your ears, ringing in your ears, or muffl ed speech, you should stop
listening to the device through your speaker, headset or headphones and have
your hearing checked.
Children
Keep your product and its accessories away from small children. These products
are not toys and may be hazardous to small children. For example, a choking
hazard may exist for small, detachable parts.
Use & Care
To care for your SOL REPUBLIC product, please observe the following:
• Liquids - do not expose your product to water, rain, extreme humidity, sweat,
or other liquids.
• Drying - do not try to dry your product using a microwave oven, conventional
oven, or dryer.
• Extreme heat or cold - avoid temperatures below -10°C (14°F) or above 45°C
(113°F). For battery powered accessories, do not recharge your accessory in
temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F).
• Dust and dirt - do not expose your product to dust, dirt, sand, food, or similar
materials.
• Cleaning - to clean your product, use only a dry soft cloth. Do not use alcohol
or other cleaning solutions.
• Shock and vibration - do not drop your product or expose it to strong vibration.
• Protection - to help protect your product, always make sure that all connector
and compartment covers are closed and secure, and avoid carrying it with hard
objects such as keys or coins.
Changes or modi• cations not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
Disposal and Recycling
Please do not dispose of products or electrical accessories (such as chargers,
headsets, or batteries) with your household waste. Warning: Never dispose of
batteries, either separately or within a mobile device, in a fi re because
they may explode. These items should be disposed of in accordance with the
national collection and recycling schemes operated by your local or regional
authority.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Your SOL REPUBLIC product is covered by a worldwide limited warranty by SOL
REPUBLIC Inc, 9375 SW Commerce Circle, Suite 9A, Wilsonville, OR, USA for
defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period is two years for SOL
REPUBLIC products purchased in the European Union (36 months in Sweden),
and one year for all other countries.
When you purchase SOL REPUBLIC products you may be entitled to additional
statutory rights. For example, consumer laws across the European Union provide
statutory rights in addition to the coverage you receive from the SOL REPUBLIC
Limited Warranty. The SOL REPUBLIC Limited Warranty does not affect your
statutory rights. To acquire a printable version of your warranty, please visit www.

The warranty period starts from the date of purchase of new or refurbished
products purchased from SOL REPUBLIC or an authorized SOL REPUBLIC
dealer by the • rst end-user. A defect caused by a materials or workmanship
error, SOL REPUBLIC or its dealers will repair the product using new or
refurbished replacement parts at no charge for labor or materials, or replace
the product with a functionally equivalent product that is new or refurbished,
or at the discretion of SOL REPUBLIC, refund the original purchase price. It is
recommended the purchaser retain proof of purchase in the form of a receipt or
bill of sale with the date of purchase and name of model purchased.
Restrictions
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
• minor faults or deviations in quality of the product which are insigni• cant to the
value of the product when used as described in the user guide;
• cosmetic damage, acts of God, misuse, improper connection, improper use;
• products purchased open box, sold as-is, by private party resale or any other
third party purchases from unauthorized distributors; or
• Normal wear and other causes that are not defects in materials and
workmanship.
Attempted repair by unauthorized repair personnel will void this Limited Warranty.
Transfer of SOL REPUBLIC products through unauthorized distributors renders
this Limited Warranty null and void. This Limited Warranty is also null and void if
the product is damaged by a connecting product that may have caused damage
through misuse or malfunction or if the factory model name or serial number
has been altered.
If you would like to make a claim under this Limited Warranty you have the
following options:

for limited warranty support. The form will require your name, mailing address,
email address, phone contact, description of the defect or problem, a scanned
copy of your receipt or invoice, and if possible, include a picture of the fault.
We will validate your request and respond with how we will repair or replace

email address, phone contact, description of the defect or problem, and a

in a shipping package, as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in
