The end  users should  have the  basic knowledge  ofinstalling  an external  device and  itsdriver to a PC. If they are not  sure about their abilities or have any queries, please calltheir  local dealers immediately,  or frnd  somebody  who  are experienced  and  qualified  forassistance.2.  The computer  has been properly  installed  with  one of the  supported  operating  systemInstalling  the  USB IrDA  adapter  and  its  driver  under  Windows  environment1.  Do not  insert  the  USB IrDA  adapter  to the  comDuter.2.  Start Windows3.  Insert  the CD, "Drivers  and  Utility"  into  the  CDROM.  Drive  D is assumed4.  Browse  to  D:\MOSCHIP\MCS7780  directory  with  "My  Computer"  or "WindowsExplorer"  utiiities5.  Execute Setup.exe  by double  click its  icon,6.  Select language  and press OK  to  install  the  driver.7.  Foilow  the  instructions  to finish  installing  the drtver.B.  Insert  the  USB IrDA  adapter  into  any available  USB port  on the  computer.  If  the  USB IrDAadapter  has been inserted  onto  the  computer  at this  point,  unplug  and plug  it  in  again.
9.  The Windows  will  automatically  detect  the  USB IrDA  adapter  as "USB--Infraredadapter"  and  follow  the  on  screen instruction  to  install  its required  driver.  Always  chooseautomatic  installation  when  being  asked.10.  Now,  the  USB IrDA  adapter  is ready  to use.To check  if  the  USB IrDA  adapter  is properly  installed1.  Go to  Device  Manager2.  Click  on  the  "+" sign of the  Infrared  Devices3.  A  "USB--Infrared  Adapter"  device should  be displayed  under  this  category4.  Double  click  this  icon, the  Properties  menu  of this  device should  appear5.  Check  the  Device  Status  under  the  General  category6.  A message of  "This  device  is working  ProPerly"  should  shownNotice:If there  is an exclamation  or  question  mark  shown  against  the  USB IIDA  adapter  or theadapter  is compietely  unrecognized  by the  system,  check the followings1.  If  the  driver  of the USB port  on the  system  is installed  properly.2.  The driver  for the  USB IrDA  adapter  is instalied  straightly  according  to the  procedurelisted  above3.  Uninstall  the  old version  drivers  and  the  drivers  for  other  IrDA  adapters4.  In the worst  case the  USB IIDA  adapter  is defective.  Contact  your  local dealer  immediatelyUninstalling  the  Windows  drivers  for  the  USB  IrDA  adapter1.  Start Windows2.  Go to Control  Panel3.  Double  click on Add/Remove  Programs  icon4.  Select USB-Infrared  Device5.  Click  the  Remove  button6.
